Laura and contact lenses
Laura wears contact lenses and is careful and accurate, as she wants to wear them over time without any side effects.

Laura relies on the support of her trusted optician to take care of her eyes.

She keeps her lenses in a suitable case with an appealing design and ensures it is always perfectly clean. Cases should be replaced with a new model every 3 months.

The importance of cleaning

When she wears contact lenses for long periods of time throughout the day, she prefers cleaning them thoroughly. She uses the ultrasonic or the mechanical lens cleaner, which vibrate and, together with the suitable cleaning solution, they efficiently reduce the presence of bacteria.

Accessories

She uses contact lens accessories that make everyday activities easier, like changing her lenses and cleaning them.
Her lens catch mat is essential – placed over the sink drain, it ensures lenses do not go down it.

In water

At the seaside, swimming pool, but also under the shower, it’s always best to remove contact lenses first!
We recommend using masks and swimming goggles with corrective vision lenses.
If you decide to keep your contact lenses on, limit contact with water as much as possible:
When at the seaside, use a mask to avoid losing the lenses and prevent irritation due to the change in salt concentration in tears caused by salty water.
At the swimming pool Always wear a pair of swimming goggles to prevent the bacterial and chlorine in the water from causing infections, irritation or dry eyes, as this would make it difficult to remove the contact lenses. This is why, once out of the water, she puts in two drops of eyedrops and waits 15 minutes before removing them.

Outdoors

For outdoor activities, she protects her eyes with sunglasses.
At the seaside, she prevents dehydration by putting in eyedrops.
When practicing sports with semi-rigid contact lenses, she uses adequate protection to avoid losing them.

Indoors

Air conditioning reduces hydration on the eye’s surface.
At the office, when travelling on a plane or during long journeys by car, she takes a kit with everything she need to keep the cornea hydrated with eyedrops.
